Baby Indie
My baby story..
So I planned on having a natural birth since I found out I was pregnant. I was really nervous and didn't know what to expect so I didn't know if I could handle it. On July 11, 2011 around midnight I started having contractions. I didn't know if it was really happening or not so I go up and walked around the house for a bit, I couldn't sleep through the contractions so I took a bath. After my bath i made myself something to eat and then I went to wake David up. By this time it was around 3 in the morning. David started timing my contractions and they were all really inconsistent. They were anywhere from 2 to 6 mins apart. So I went and watched some TV. By 6 o'clock I was in more pain. David called his work and told them he wouldn't be coming in. We decided to go on a walk with the dogs and I would have to stop during the contractions to try and relax from the pain. Once we got back in the house I wanted to eat some cereal and that's when the contractions really started hurting. David called our Dr. and he told us to stay home for a bit, but I was in to much pain so he told us to come in. When we got to the hospital I was dilated to a 5 so I was pretty excited. I walked around the hospital and even hung out in the hot tub for a bit. The pain got more and more intense but I just told myself that and epidural wasn't an option for me. I really didn't want one. The Dr. would come check on me and I was finally dilated to a 9.5 and he broke my water; nothing came out until after the babies head was out because she had dropped really low and was blocking it. I pushed for an hour and I can't express the rush and awesomeness that I felt while pushing. At the end it didn't even hurt. I would just push and push and this overwhelmingly feeling of joy rushed through my body. The head was finally sticking out and the Dr. was playing with Indie's hair and asked if I wanted to feel her. At this point I said pull her out! I was so ready to be done and see this beautiful baby. Indie was born at 3:16pm and I was more excited and felt so accomplished that I did it drug free. I feel that Heavenly Father really did bless me with an easy labor. I thank him everyday for my beautiful baby girl. David was also an amazing help and I know that I couldn't have done it with out his support, encouragement, and massages.
I will post more pictures!!

January 23, 1946 ~ February 14, 2011
Richard Lee Robins was born January 23, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas and Nellie Robins of Los Angeles, California. Richard went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2011, Valentine's Day. Richard was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce, his brother, Bernard, and his children, Matthew, Jeff, Michael Howard, Michael Alan, Becky and David. Richard received his education and practiced as an attorney in the Los Angeles /Southern California area for most of his life. He moved to Atwater, California ten years ago where he lived until his passing. Richard loved the Lord, his family, life and all people. He spent his life helping people, both professionally and personally.
Richard loved being active and excelled in sports. His favorites were golf, tennis and waterskiing. He especially loved taking his children camping, boating and to theme parks. In 2000, Richard was diagnosed with a debilitating condition, spending his last five years in a wheelchair. Even after losing movement of both his arms and legs, Richard never complained, believing that life is made up of tests and this condition was his last.Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation to start at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5554 North Winton Way, Atwater, CA.
