Richard Robins

David was very lucky to have such a wonderful man as a father. He will be greatly missed by a lot of people. We are so happy that he is now reunited with our Heavenly Father and he is free from pain. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation and for the knowledge I have because of the gospel. I know that we will be united again one day and we will be able to spend all eternity together with our families. Until then we will continue to live the gospel daily and share this message with those around us so they too can experience this peace of mind. We miss and love you Richard. Thank you for your generous heart, and for all of your love and support.

January 23, 1946 ~ February 14, 2011

Richard Lee Robins was born January 23, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas and Nellie Robins of Los Angeles, California. Richard went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2011, Valentine's Day. Richard was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce, his brother, Bernard, and his children, Matthew, Jeff, Michael Howard, Michael Alan, Becky and David. Richard received his education and practiced as an attorney in the Los Angeles /Southern California area for most of his life. He moved to Atwater, California ten years ago where he lived until his passing. Richard loved the Lord, his family, life and all people. He spent his life helping people, both professionally and personally.

Richard loved being active and excelled in sports. His favorites were golf, tennis and waterskiing. He especially loved taking his children camping, boating and to theme parks. In 2000, Richard was diagnosed with a debilitating condition, spending his last five years in a wheelchair. Even after losing movement of both his arms and legs, Richard never complained, believing that life is made up of tests and this condition was his last.Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation to start at 9:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5554 North Winton Way, Atwater, CA. Burial will follow at Winton District Cemetery.

The family is very thankful for the loving care and treatment Richard received from doctors and nurses at Mercy Medical Center during his last days.
