I've Really.....

Been missing Hawaii. I want to go back and to do all the fun things that we used to do. I miss laying on the beach, riding my bike to school, skimboarding, surfing, our friends, all of it. I dream about Hawaii all the time. Hmmmm maybe one day we will be able to go back. I think I'm missing it more and more because this terrible weather here in Utah. The snow was cool at first, but I'm OVER it. I want the sun back and the random rain falls. I always said I would never live in Utah and here I am. Booo... So for that I will now say I will never live in Hawaii again! That means I will right? I sure hope so. But for now I will freeeeeeezzzeee, and wait for summer.

In my old ward I won a free photo shoot by Moda Photography. I was really excited to do it and really excited about the results. Heidi did a great job. So if any of you in Utah would like to get your pictures done Heidi is the person to go to. Here are some of my favorite pictures she did.

Town House

David and I purchased our first home a couple of weeks ago and we are loving it. We lived in Salt Lake city for 7 months and enjoyed it, but the people there were quite interesting and scary I guess you could say. We moved to South Jordan and we LOVE it here. The funny thing about our apartment was we moved out and had another couple take over the lease but we had about a week to clean and get our things out before they moved in. Well the day they came to get the keys I had come over earlier to get a few more things and clean the fridge when I noticed our sliding glass door was open. Yes someone broke in. They broke the lock on the door. How scary and thank goodness we moved. To bad there was nothing good inside for them to take.

I can't believe that we have been in Utah for a little over 7 months now. Time has been flying by. Winter is creeping up on us and it is kind of depressing. I thought I wanted it cold but I have changed my mind. I wouldn't mind having the sun out for a little bit longer. Other than the move and us getting another little chihuahua not too much has been going on. Shibby turns 1 this month and Wylee is 9 weeks. Oh the joys of a puppy.

Baby Bonanners..

David and I stayed the night at Kim and Jeremy's so we could see cute Bonanners and so David and Jeremy could play in a charity golf tournament. I love spending time with Kim. No matter how old we get or the fact that she just had a baby we always have fun and act like weirdo's. Woodruff is such a good place to get away from any worries. (not that I have any worries) Just a place to relax. I bought a new camera so I was practicing on Bowen and some pictures came out really well. I'm definitely not an expert but I hope I can improve. Here are a couple cute pictures. Bowen smiles so much now and it is just adorable.

Rock Climbing.

Rock Climbing is one of mine and Davids favorite things to do right now. The weather here in Utah is starting to warmer and the flowers are blooming, it really is beautiful. Today David and I had the opportunity to go up to Little Cottonwood Canyon and rock climb with some friends. We have gone a few times in an indoor rock climbing facility called Momentum, so we were really excited to be in the outdoors. We had so much fun. I climbed a 5.11 and made it. David tried to climb a 5.9 and made it half way. I felt pretty cool for my accomplishment. We are looking forward to the warm beautiful weather to come.
A little update on our lives. David is still enjoying his job with Goldman Sachs and I am a preschool teacher for a school called The Learning Tree. I love my class and kids they are so cute and fun to be with. I enjoy going to work everyday. I just really enjoy working with children. Shibby is doing well, we just had him neutered this week and I felt so bad for him. I had tears rolling down my face walking out of the vet hospital. I thought I was such a bad person but he is doing well and we just love him so much.

Bowen Thomas Watts

My sister had her first little baby boy and he is soo cute. My sister in-law just had a little boy 3 weeks ago, so I now have two cute little nephews. The only sad part is Blake lives in Tennessee so I won't be seeing him anytime soon. But I am lucky enough now to live in Utah near Bowen. Look at how cute he is. Bowen was born on my grandmas birthday 4-5-10!!

UTAH!

David and I have moved to Utah..Never thought I would ever live in Utah but I am. David received a job with Goldman Sachs. He is loving his job and so far we are enjoying Utah. We miss Hawaii like crazy but we know that this is what we need to be doing right now. I'm enjoying not being sweaty all day and that I can do my hair, so that is a plus. We really like our apartment and the area that we are in. Our ward is great and I already have a calling. I am the assistant to the director for girls camp. I am really excited to go to camp and see how different girls camp is here compared to the one that I am used to. It is cooolllllld here and it has snowed a couple of times. I'm just looking forward to the summer. I want some sun! We also have a cute little toy chihuahua named Shibby. He is so fun to have and annoying. Hahah He likes chewing so our hands, faces, feet, and any other part of our bodies are more desirable than his toys. Hopefully this is something he will grow out of soon. He likes to watch it snow out of the front window and bark at all the people that walk by. Sooo I will now be keeping everyone up to date on our new life in Utah.

Aloha Oe' Hawaii

So long sweet Hawaii!
David and I have gathered our belongings and memories and have moved back to the Mainland. Sad, sad story. I can't express with words how amazing our stay in Hawaii was. The best time of my life. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to be there and to get to know so many wonderful people. I have met so many new friends who will always mean the world to me. I wouldn't change my experience in Hawaii for anything. I know that being there has not only made me a better person but I have grown to depend on my father in heaven more and more and to understand that some things in life we just can't do on our own. I love that David and I chose to go to Hawaii the end of 2007. I was scared and afraid we made the wrong choice in the beginning, but after getting to know some of the people on the island I knew that we were supposed to be there.

Hawaii you have changed my life and I thank you for it. I didn't think leaving would be this hard but then again I thought that I would have a normal farewell not one rushing to move our things out of TVA. I think leaving fast was good for me though because it's just now sinking in that I am gone. Gone until we return again. Hawaii will always have a piece of my heart, and I am ok with that, I am grateful to leave it.
Soooo were moving to Utah.. That will be another post that I will have up shortly. I have been a terrible blogger. Ooopppsss. I will try to do better.
