Happy Birthday DAVID!

David turned the BIG 24 today..
And it was the first day of school. What a gift! I decorated the house up and made a pretty awesome cake. (my first cool cake) We had a couple of friends over for dinner and some XBOX 360 fun. (even though I'm pretty sure David played Call of Duty 4 the whole time while everyone watched) But we all had a good day and David enjoyed his birthday. Here are some pictures of his cake. David loves the ocean and surfing so I thought it would be cool to have a surfing cake...
My favorite part is David surfing on the wave. I cut out a picture of him and stuck it on a candy surfboard. My friend's Sarah and Billy helped me come up with some good ideas. Billy made the palm tree and surfboard, and Sarah made a really cute beach ball. This was a really fun cake to make...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID! I'm blessed to have such an amazing husband and best friend.

That cake is amazing. You did such a Great job. I don't think I have ever seen such a cute cake. I didn't realize how much I loved Hawaii until I looked at your blog one day and you were describing your fun life of baby sitting and going to the beach. That was what I used to do and loved it. So keep enjoying it like you do so you wont have any regrets when you leave. I loved Hawaii and have fun memories but it's also nice to be so close to family especially with a little one now.

Hi Elissa. Lately the buzz around the office is a blog called cakewrecks. It is hilarious. And I thought you might want to check it out, not that I'm saying your cake should be on this site by any means. I was just showing this to (your) Mom J and we both think that is a cute cake.
Do you have an online xbox account? We could play a game together.
